Analytics cookies (optional)
We use Google Analytics 4, a service from Google LLC, to understand how many people visit AltarPlan and which pages help them, so we can improve the site. It only turns on if you accept. If you do nothing or tap "Decline," no Google script is loaded and nothing is sent to Google.
- What it measures: pages you visit, time on each one, device and browser type, language, approximate location (country and region) and the page or search engine you came from. According to Google, Google Analytics 4 does not log or store full IP addresses.
- Cookies it sets:
_ga(tells one browser from another anonymously) and_ga_followed by a code for our property (stores session state). They last up to 2 years. - Legal basis: your consent. You can accept or decline just as easily.
- No advertising signals: we turn off Google signals and ad personalization, and we deny advertising storage and the use of your data for ads. We don't use this analytics for advertising or combine it with other data.
- Where it isn't used: never on the wedding checklist, the budget calculator or the marriage license search with location. On those pages no Google script loads, whether you accepted or not.
How to withdraw or change your choice
Tap "Cookie preferences" in the footer of any page, or the button above, and choose again. When you decline, we delete this site's _ga cookies and stop sending data. Your choice is saved for 6 months in your browser's local storage (key altarplan.consent); after that we ask you again. We also respect your browser's Global Privacy Control signal: if it is on, we treat it as a decline and don't show the notice. You can always delete cookies from your browser settings.
Google may process this data in the U.S. and other countries. Learn more in Google's cookie policy and its privacy policy.
What is saved in your browser
The tools may save your information (wedding date, checked tasks, budget) in your browser's local storage (localStorage). It isn't a cookie, it isn't sent to our servers, and it only exists so you don't have to type everything again. You can delete it with the delete-data button or in your browser settings.
Third-party resources
Fonts are served from our own site. Some photos (temporary) load from Unsplash, which may receive your IP address. Unsplash doesn't set tracking cookies through our site. More detail in the privacy policy.
Hosting logs
The hosting service may keep technical logs of visits. They are not cookies. More detail in the privacy policy.
Future changes
If we add ads or other cookies later, we will update this page, let you know, and give you the option to accept or decline them before we use them.
