Create your one-of-a-kind wedding hashtag

Answer six short questions and in seconds you will have a main wedding hashtag and 4 to 6 variations. None contain accents or spaces, and each word is capitalized so it is easy to read.

  1. Tell us about you two. Names, date, city and, if you like, the type of wedding. Only the names are required.
  2. Pick a style. Romantic, funny, elegant, beachy, rustic, traditional Latin or minimalist.
  3. Copy what you like. Generate another combination as many times as you want: we never repeat the previous one.

Wedding hashtags for each platform

Every platform has its own rules. That is why we build a different set for each one, at the right size and in the right order.

How many hashtags to use on each platform
PlatformHow manyWhere and how
Instagram3 a 5Limit of 5 per post. Put them at the end of the caption and lead with your strongest line.
TikTok3 a 5One about weddings, one about place or language, and yours. Hook in the first sentence.
YouTube3Only the first 3 show above the title. Use more than 60 and YouTube ignores them all.
Pinterest0 a 3Hashtags matter little here: keywords in the title and description do the ranking.
Snapchat3 a 5Very short text: 160 characters or fewer with hashtags and emojis.
Facebook1 a 3At the end of a longer, conversational post.

Each platform's numbers change often. We review this list every quarter; check the current rule in the platform's help center before you post.

Captions that sound like you

The captions are written by people, not by AI, and they change with the country, the style and the moment: announcement, countdown, the wedding day or the thank-you afterward. Emojis are chips: tap one to change or remove it.

An Instagram caption is not the same as one for TikTok or Snapchat: longer ones carry more warmth and shorter ones a hook. For Pinterest we give you keywords, which is what really ranks there.

How to choose a wedding hashtag

  • Make it easy to read. Capitalize each word: #AnaAndMateo reads better than #anaandmateo.
  • Make it one of a kind. Both names, your initials or the year help keep anyone else from using it.
  • Keep it short. 12 to 24 characters is easiest for your guests to type.
  • Avoid mix-ups. We check that joining the names does not spell an unwanted word, but read it out loud before you use it.
  • Search for it first. Check each app to make sure no other couple is using it before you print it on your invitations.

Frequently asked questions

How do I create a wedding hashtag?

Combine your names, initials or a pun, add the year if you like, and capitalize each word with no spaces or accents (#AnaAndMateoSayIDo).

How many hashtags should I use on Instagram for a wedding?

Use 3 to 5: your own wedding hashtag plus 2 to 3 topic tags. Instagram reportedly capped posts at 5 hashtags in late 2025; check Instagram's Help Center for the current rule.

How do I know if my wedding hashtag is already taken?

Search for it on each app before you use it. The generator links to the search, but we cannot guarantee a hashtag is unused.

What wedding hashtags should I use on TikTok, YouTube, Pinterest and Facebook?

Use 3–5 on TikTok. On YouTube only the first 3 show above the title. On Pinterest, rely on keywords instead. On Facebook, use 1–3.

What should I write as a wedding photo caption on Instagram?

Keep it short and personal: the announcement, countdown, wedding day and thank-you. The generator writes them in your style and language.

Does it work for same-sex couples?

Yes. It never asks for gender or uses "bride" or "groom".

Does it use AI?

No. It uses a human-written library and our own algorithm, all in your browser.

Do you store my details?

No. Names, date, city and wedding type stay on your device.

Can I change or remove the emojis?

Yes, with one tap.

Can I use it in Spanish?

This English page writes captions in US English. The Spanish version of the generator also offers Spanish and bilingual captions.

Your privacy

Everything happens in your browser. Names, date, city and wedding type are not sent to any server, are not stored and are not measured. We do not use AI in real time. The links to search for your hashtag go to the platform you choose and carry only the hashtag, with no personal data.
